Do you have the desire to volunteer?
Becoming a volunteer firefighter does not require a degree or specific experience. If you meet the following criteria, you can apply:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Have a valid driver's license
- Reside in Madison County
- Have appropriate transportation
- Submit to a background check
- Be of good moral character
- Capable of preforming duties that require physical exertion
- Willing to complete required training within a scheduled time
- Pass Recruitment Process including an oral interview, departmental approval, and entry level physical
